my path
I’m Anna. I’ve been doing nails for more than ten years, and now I teach others too. I explain things in plain words: why the coating holds, how to hold the e-file, what to do when something goes wrong. I live in Tilburg; my students come from all over the Netherlands and Belgium.
Courses
Two formats in the studio: a four-day basic course (€1.250) and a one-day self-manicure workshop for beginners (€450).

A review of your work or a specific professional question: technique and mistakes, difficult cases, setting up your workspace or working with clients.
Before the consultation, you need to send your questions and photos or videos of your work — so the conversation can be as focused as possible.

* includes removing the old product and simple design or repair of 1–2 nails. The duration given is an estimate.
For one person it’s done in two hours; for another the same work takes half an hour longer. It usually comes down to these four things.
Dry, fast-growing cuticles need more preparation. If you use oil at home, it usually goes faster.
Neatly removing an old layer takes 20 to 30 minutes. If you come with clean nails, that time goes into the work itself.
Long nails, a new shape or fixing a broken nail each add about a quarter of an hour.
One colour is quickest. French, several colours or hand-painted designs take about ten minutes per nail.
A first visit always takes a little longer: we first look at your nails together and what’s possible.
No hot water and no sauna for the first 24 hours — the coating is still curing. Wear gloves when you use cleaning products, don’t use your nails as tools, and file down a sharp edge straight away so it doesn’t catch on things.
Shine wears off with washing-up liquid, acetone and dry air. Cuticle oil once a day and hand cream after washing your hands keep the coating supple; a top coat after two weeks brings the shine back.
Don’t cut anything away. Cuticle oil once a day and a gentle push back with a wooden stick after your shower is enough. If they grow fast, come every three weeks instead of every four.
Choose what you’d like done, a date and a time. I’ll confirm by message.

FAQ
Yes. The “Self-manicure for beginners” and “START IN MANICURE” courses are suitable for beginners. We start from the very beginning — even if you have never held manicure scissors or an e-file. If you already have some experience, taught yourself or trained before, that is fine too: skills you already know will help you learn new ones faster and move on to practice.
On the “Self-manicure for beginners” course you practise on yourself — the programme is designed for this. On the other courses you need models to practise on. I find them, so you don’t need to worry about it in advance.
Lessons are in Russian or Ukrainian. Teaching a course in English or Dutch can be discussed in advance: I need time to prepare the materials and the professional vocabulary.
Yes. When you finish the course, you receive a certificate in English. A certificate in another language can be discussed in advance.
No. During the course you work with the studio’s materials — I provide everything you need. During the course you will get a detailed list of the tools and materials you will need to start working.
